A chain is not an afterthought. The wrong one makes a good pendant look cheap, and a chain too light for its pendant will eventually fail at the bail. These are stocked so that a pendant can be matched to a chain that suits its weight, its metal and the length the wearer actually wants.
Available styles include paper clip, box and wheat, in sterling silver and in vermeil — sterling with a heavy gold layer, which gives the look of gold at a fraction of the cost and wears far better than ordinary plate.
